2010 Annual Symposium: President's Message

Dr. George H. Meier, SCVS President 2009-2010
George H. Meier, M.D.
SCVS President, 2009-2010

The Annual Symposium of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery (SCVS) has become one of the most popular educational offerings within our vascular specialty and I am pleased to report that our scientific programs are now even stronger and more comprehensive than ever. I encourage you to take advantage of the solid education provided through the SCVS and to mark your calendars - April 7-10, 2010 - for our next Annual Symposium in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The SCVS Annual Symposium offers a noteworthy combination of education, networking, and practical skills development for vascular surgeons and the Society's mission places an emphasis on clinical issues facing all practice settings; academic, community, government, or a combination of each. Our traditional postgraduate course program focuses on the latest “hot topics” facing each of these audiences and our special interest group sessions and Fellow development programs are both popular and unique. The SCVS meeting further provides authors with an opportunity to present their original research in a professional setting that connects them with a national audience. Be sure to visit our website regularly for program updates and to share your thoughts on how the Society can better serve you via email ( or phone (978.927.8330).

Whether you are in practice, fellowship, or residency and operate as part of an academic institution or conduct a private practice; you will benefit from regular attendance at the SCVS Annual Symposium and I look forward to seeing you join us in Arizona this coming April of 2010.

George H. Meier, MD
